If in one generation we stopped calling black people colored people.   Why can't this be the
generation we stop saying the "
N"word.  WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU HEARD
SOMEONE SAY COLORED PEOPLE?
I showed a picture of a black man to a twenty white
children between the ages of 6-12.  This was a very small survey and only centered in the
eastern part of North Carolina, but you'll still get the point.  I asked what they other name they
could call him besides a black?  30% of them said the N- word, and 70% called him an
African American.
My point is that not a one of them called him a colored man.  Why
can't we take a survey 40 years from now and none of them call him the
"N" word?  We
stopped saying
"colored people" in one generation.  Can't we do the same with the "N"
word
?   We have a black president, but we can't stop using the N-word.  What's wrong with
this picture?

Why is it alright for a black person to call another black person the "N" word, but wrong for a
white person to call the same person the "N" word?  For years I pondered this question
myself, and then one day I heard a woman call another woman a whore.  Well I was amazed
that the she didn't get slapped.  The other woman just laughed.  I'll tell you right now if I would
of called the same woman a whore,  and with the same tone of voice I would of gotten my jaws
slapped.  After being puzzled for a little while I realized what happened.  These two women
were in the same category.  They are both women.

If we both live in mobile homes then you might get by with calling me trailer trash,
but if you live in a nice two story house then you better not call me trailer trash.

It is the same way with a black calling another black the "N" word.  They are in the same
category so it's really not an insult, but that doesn't make it any easier for us to stop saying the
"N" word when we hear others saying it.
EVERYONE needs to stop using the "N" word  in
this generation!  You, me, whites, Indians, and even blacks.  Time for everybody stop!
In one generation we stopped calling
black people colored people!

Then let us stop saying the "N" word
and in our generation
It is going to be really hard for America to get the white people to stop using the N- word when our young
people see l
ots of these black entertainers using it in their music and jokes.  We know that our youth is very
easily influenced by music and television.  This is why it's so important for us to work together.  We can
banish this word from our vocabulary.  We can't expect to have this word to disappear without the help from
our entertainers.

Now is the time, today is the day.  Let us all work together to banish this word from our
vocabulary. We can do one person at a time, and it can start with you and me.  My one
year old grandson should never hear the "N" word.

offended, or is made weak.

1 Corinthians 8:13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I
